Musical Comfort

Last night, after much effort i have finished stitching this 'Musical Comfort' design. took me almost a year to finish it as i stitched on and off. even hubby was sarcastically commented how slow i stitched this project.

aaa. ok. next time ah. i'll stitched non-stop lah. no cooking (macam la slalu masak pon. he he). no washing aaaait. :P

have yet to frame the project. my pocket tgh gawat.

just finish stitching this small design. the technique is called 'Assisi' and the design came from CrossStitcher issue 197.
I dont really follow the colour code. just mix n match the available thread in my collection.
the most expensive material here is the metallic frame (from IKEA).

More Dentist please

Yesterday i had the most agonising 30 minutes of my life. (sakit bersalin is like at least 3 hours agonising time :D). I went to Lim Dental Surgery. Hubby set the appointment for me as i was suppose to set the appointment last week but i did'nt. he he. penakut.

actually yesterday was the follow up visit. last Sunday (1st June) I went to PJ branch after 3 days of tooth ache on the left side. the doctor put temporary filling and i was supposed to visit again after 1 week for her to put a permanent filling.
i dragged the days until Monday (9th June) when i felt sengal gigi on the right side. pulak dah. tu yang cik abang booked an appointment himself. he he. kalo nak harap bini dia nih, dok sakit gigi sampai ke sudah.

then yesterday i forced myself for the follow up visit as it is so painful to eat any solid food (pain from the both side!). after complaining to the dentist about the new tooth ache on the right side, he began attacking my right tooth! sob...sob...sob. then on the left one. he is quite meticulous which i really like. as the finishing for both side make me feel very comfortable with the new filling.
then when i was about to abort the dental chair, the nurse n dentist said.. 'hold on... we are not finish yet'
haaaaaaaaaaa...aiyo.... ada lagi kaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

sakit siot! now smua gigi kena attack by the dentist. well.. now i feel VERY clean. he he he. need to keep it this way.
ish.. need to brainwash my daughters. at least one of them have to become a dentist one day. we need more dentist!

who would have taught this cheeky guy will graduate schools and become school teacher! we all laugh out until sakit perut. plus... he changed a lot! i don't think i will even recognise him if we ever bumped out kat tengah jalan. but one thing that remains, he is still funny as ever. and suka gelak :D.

Judin now works in Banting and Mere works at Inland Revenue. haih.. have to stay away from Mere. he he. nanti dia kutip utang kang. 

Aini still works at Civil Engineering company, buat highway. newly promoted as Manager.

Pokku remains at Oil n Gas vendor in Taipan. last time we met... asyik berlawan tukar2 name card. we both kept changing company. ha ha

we met at 8.15pm and balik around 11.15pm. gile lama borak.

habis smua isu2 hangat masa zaman skolah kluar. including boys punya activity. hak hak hak. 

ada org ilang puting susu sebab kena mercun? ada yg kena iron atas blakang...kes gurau bewak? dasat laa.. boys ni memang takde tamadun :P

tak pasal2 smua seniors kena antar ke Kem Tangok. musti korang ni yg puncanya :P

so many things that we talk about. tapi tak bleh nak taip panjang2. i have to go sign buku rekod at my daughter kindies.

(just came back from record book signing and dental surgery..tengah sakit lagi nih)

Jari n Judin.. last time jumpa 2 org ni masa collect result SPM. which was in 1996. 12 YEARS tu tak jumpa.

Mere, Aini n Pokku .. jumpa la gak skali setahun. dia org ni slalu ajak jumpa makan2.

to Hygiene..antara yg kita org borak malam tu. saja nak buat korang jeles

girls and boys dalam kelas selalu benor gaduh. everytime gaduh je, musti aini set meeting time prep malam. ha ha ha

tah rasanya cam everyweek kot asik meeting utk selesaikan persengketaan je. 

sampai ada satu malam Meor tendang pintu divider kelas.

tah brape org yang kena lari kat padang maktab. sebab tak dapat markah yang memuaskan dalam sejarah? aku ingat la part yg cikgu sudin kata kalo tak dapat above sekian markah..kena lari kat padang. 

but the funny things is, aku tak ingat pon peristiwa lari kat padang tuh. ada 3 je sebab kenapa aku tak ingat nih...

1) Aku tak pegi kelas hari tu. sebab sakit (tu saja sebab yg ada pon utk ponteng kelas kat mrsm tu). tapi kan seingat aku.. ada skali je aku tak gi kelas sebab sakit. hmmmmmm tak ingat dah bila.

2) Aku dapat markah tinggi yang men disqualified dari didenda lari tuh >>>> THIS I DOUBT VERY MUCH. sebab aku tak penah cecah A pon utk matapelajaran sejarah.

3) ??????? >>> tak ingat 

so antara sebab (1) atau (3) la. sebab (2) tu memang miracle la. kah kah kah

Sejarah aaa yg mentarnish result SPM aku. chait.

Kesan from denda2 tersebut. our class normally score total highest mark dalam test Sejarah. except aku la.. yang selalu men spoil markah keseluruhan kelas. sorry la ek. allergic aa sejarah.

During balik kampung last 2 weeks (ala...yg masa kenduri kahwin anak sedara tu), kami bawa mak melawat makcik kat kampung. then masa dah nak bali, mak mintak pokok ubat untuk kulit gatal. sambil2 menjengah pokok tuh, makcik tanya tak nak ke ambik pokok misai kucing sekali. waaah.. apa lagi. bersungguh2 mencabut pokok tuh.
sampai KL, esoknya i went to nursery dekat Tesco. beli pasu kecik ngan tanah. aih. tak bleh beli sikit la pulak tanahnya. kena beli satu beg besar. walhal yg nak pakainya seciput je. no choice la.
as i'm not a green hand type of person. tak penah menjadi pon kalo tanam pokok sbelum nih.
after menyiram pokok2 setiap hari selama seminggu. bila cek2 pokok weekend lepas, punya la melompat happy! ado daun baru kluar. he he he...seronotnya

tak tau nama apa pokok utk kulit gatal tuh. 2-3 hari lepas cam condong nak menyembah dah. tgk weekend tu cam tegap sikit. mintak2 ler idup. cara nak ubat kulit gatal?
ambik daun... tumbuk2 dan campur ngan garam. kalo org tua, boh banyak garam. kalo budak kecik campur sikit je garam. pehtu lumur la paste tu kat kulit. insyaAllah kegatalan tu akan pulih. tapi kan.. nanti nak kena tanya Mak dulu berkesan ke tak yang dia pakai aritu :)

kang bila dah subur sikit baru nak transfer kat pasu besar. maklumlah..tanah ada se beg besar lagi :D

Elaun keraian PM, TPM, jemaah menteri dipotong 10 peratus ringan beban rakyat

PUTRAJAYA: Pembayaran rebat kepada pemilik kenderaan persendirian yang dijadual bermula 1 Julai, akan mula dibayar Sabtu ini bagi mengurangkan beban rakyat akibat kenaikan harga minyak.

Mesyuarat Majlis Menangani Inflasi yang dipengerusikan oleh Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi di sini semalam, turut memutuskan elaun keraian Perdana Menteri, Timbalan Perdana Menteri, menteri dan timbalan menteri, dipotong 10 peratus mulai 1 Julai ini.

Selain itu, cuti berbayar bagi menteri dan timbalan menteri yang sebelum ini boleh dinikmati untuk ke sebarang destinasi, kini dihadkan kepada destinasi dalam negeri dan rantau Asean saja dengan tempoh tidak melebihi seminggu.

Bercakap pada sidang akhbar selepas mesyuarat itu, Perdana Menteri berkata, kerajaan menganggar memperoleh penjimatan tambahan RM2 bilion menerusi pengurangan perbelanjaan awam, termasuk pemotongan elaun keraian jemaah menteri.

Potong elaun menteri tidak rasional

PULAU PINANG 8 Jun - Menteri Perdagangan Dalam Negeri dan Hal Ehwal Pengguna, Datuk Shahrir Abdul Samad menyifatkan cadangan untuk memotong elaun yang dinikmati oleh menteri adalah tidak rasional.

Sepatutnya, kata beliau, cadangan untuk menjimatkan wang kerajaan perlu difokuskan kepada aspek rasional dan bukan disebabkan oleh perasaan marah kepada menteri.

''Kalau potong elaun menteri-menteri, tidak sampai RM1 bilion pun. Kalau elaun menteri sampai berbilion, saya rasa ada kesan.

''Jangan buat sesuatu kerana kita marah. Kita fokus pada yang rasional. Kalau buat cadangan yang rasional pun, baru ada kesannya tapi bukan sebab rasa geram dengan menteri," katanya ketika ditemui di sini hari ini.

Beliau mengulas cadangan Dewan Pemuda Pas supaya elaun yang dinikmati menteri dipotong sebagai salah satu langkah penjimatan wang kerajaan.

Ketuanya, Salahuddin Ayub berkata, berikutan peningkatan harga barang keperluan kini, langkah berjimat cermat sepatutnya tidak hanya diamalkan rakyat tetapi turut diikuti pemimpin kerajaan.

Aspek penjimatan wang kerajaan, kata Shahrir, telah dimulakan oleh menteri-menteri sebelum ini lagi malah beliau sendiri telah mengarahkan supaya perbelanjaan untuk acara-acara yang dianjurkan oleh kementeriannya dikurangkan.

''Sebelum ini pun, kalau majlis sendiri (kementeriannya) kita tidak perlu bagi cenderamata kepada menteri. Buat sederhana sahaja selain mengurangkan seminar dan perjalanan dalam usaha berjimat cermat," katanya.

The Kite Runner

its a moving novel. a story about Amir and his best friend Hassan. its a flashback from Amir past. the year is 1970. location is Afghanistan before the War between Russia and Afghanistan.

something terrible happen during the last kite flying festival and haunted Amir ever since.

when Russian invaded, Amir and his dad were forced to flee to America.

years later...about 2001, Amir was tricked to came back to save someone from his past.

chapter 9 makes me sobbing through it. its when Amir accused Hassan of stealing his birthday gift. although his Baba (dad) forgive Hassan, much to Amir surprise. Hassan and his dad flee from the house causing Amir's Dad to become heartbroken. Hassan's Dad and Amir's Dad are childhood friend too.

Chapter 17 reveals the most shocking secret. which leaving Amir with no choice other than going back to Aghanistan.

today i went to my in-law house and stumble on Harian Metro, Wednesday, 4th June 2008.

what caught my attention is the 'soal jawab IT' section.

Q: Beza di antara bit dan bait

Saya ingin bertanya me ngenai maksud sebenar isti lah perkomputeran bit dan bait serta apakah perbeza annya.

the answer given: Komputer menggunakan format binari atau berasas kan dua nombor. Semuanya menggunakan digit binari sama ada 0 atau 1.

Satu bait mengandungi 1024 bit. Biasanya bait digu nakan untuk mengukur ka pasiti storan, misalnya cake ra keras atau saiz memori RAM.

Bit pula biasa digunakan untuk mengukur kadar pe mindahan, misalnya kelaju an bagi talian ADSL – 1 me gabit sesaat (1mbps)

i was like. hmmmm. since when 1 byte = 1024bit??????

its basic engineering. come on engineers out there. what is 1 byte???

you can wiki it if you like.

the simple answer is

1 byte = 8 bit

i think the writer got confused with this

1kilobyte = 1024bit 

or by IEEE definition, 1kikibyte = 1024bit

Code Composer Studio error - Part 2

continuation from previous post.

The error: Code Composer studio environment not set

so to double check on system functionality, go to command prompt and type

cl6x
the outcome:

this will generate system path for CCS


click edit>select all>copy

paste into notepad, need to make sure that the wording for path is in single line, e.g

C:\CCStudio_v3.3>SET BSL6713_DIR=C:\CCStudio_v3.3\c6000\dsk6713\lib

open Windows Control Panel > System > Advanced > Environment Variables > System Variables

click then copy and paste the path. e.g

Variable Name: BSL6713_DIR
Variable Value: C:\CCStudio_v3.3\c6000\dsk6713\lib

note: have to create new, copy and paste all the path available that have this
C:\CCStudio_v3.3>SET *******

after finish, click OK and reboot PC

after rebooting, open command prompt again and type cl6x

Ke Guitar Collection, TTDI

aktiviti hari sabtu lepas.

instead of window shopping at the usual place, we change the venue this time to TTDI. he he.

first place we stop was Guitar Collection.

hummm... not quite customer friendly. org dalam kedai tu buat muka bodoooo je. and when agus pick up some guitar, some of them buat muka kerek. feels not so comfortable dgn atmosphere kat dalam kedai tuh.

rupa-rupanya agus dah lama usha guitar tu. he even tested the guitar but not in this shop, he tested it at guitar collection sunway pyramid. macam mana nak test guitar kat kedai TTDI, pick up guitar pon dah buat muka kerek.

actually, tak yah la eh beli gitar karen lagi...dah ada kat rumah sebijik. OK lagi yang kat rumah. yang KO nyer AMP tuh. haaa... kot ye nak beli baik beli AMP yang bagus sikit. takde lah memekak sangat ngan bunyi noise yang menyakitkan telinga tuh.

tak pon. beli gitar kapok yang rm90. lagi jimat. bleh pakai rm1000 tu buat extend our kitchen cabinet :P

at that time SPM dah habis. dapat fly plak tuh. then as you know 1st year a level is a year to enjoy. iye lah, kalau fail module pon bleh repeat balik that module in the next sem. though i never repeat any module alhamdulillah.
at that time tak ada banyak problem sangat nak kena di fikirkan. as compared to now. cuma kena tahan rindu yg teramat kat malaysia je laaaaaaaaaaaa.

FLOODING in level 3!!!

something surprising happen today. our house is flooding! well i did foreseen it to happen sooner or later. its just that so shocking seeing this once we come home.

its not flooding up to waist level. thankfully. only about 1 bucket of water. he he.

but what freaked me out is that we forgot to pull of the electric plug this morning (things that we normally do). so while screaming at the kids, i tip toed to the ON plug and switch it off. then proceed to clearing all the power extension on the floor and moved the sofa.

what actually happens is that there was some very heavy rain this afternoon. the drainage system could not cope with the heavy downpour plus drainage from all 26th floor. alas.. for sure there was some fountain at our balcony (from the drainage). its normally happens like that during heavy rain, and my daughters normally will quickly closed the sliding door and watch scarily at the 'fountain'. and i will quickly shift any electrical outlet away from the sliding door in case flooding happen. though it never flood before.

its just that today nobody is around. last time its happened to our dear neighbour :(.

terus hilang mood nak memasak malam ni. dah penat mengemop lantai. sib baik cik abang beli KFC :D

We had a small gathering last Saturday. since i didn't bring my digicam its left me with no choice other than snapping with my Nokia. till now am still waiting for fellow friends to upload photos from their camera. then i can pour out the story on what happens that night :D
