our new living room

Langsir tak sempat raya

semalam pegi sambung projek siapkan rumah. after 1 week stop.
plannya macam2 nak buat semalam. tapi awal2 dah sound incik suami..macam la sempat buat semua. eheheheh.

what we manage to do yesterday....
1) pasang rail langsir kat sliding door
2) pasang lampu dapur
3) pasang accessories lam bilik air.

about rail langsir.
i told him what i wish for my langsir. dia dah soh contractor tebuk siap2 3 level rail. hehehehhe. sebab dia memang malas dah nak layan bini dia yg banyak cekadak nih. though awal2 dah dibagitau...kita nak pasang langsir ceiling height. pi bazir tenaga contractor tebuk another 2 level apasal.

semalam pegila dia n adik ipar membeli rail. 4 meter huh.
at that time aaaa ..i forgot to memberi cadangan supaya itu screw should be dipasang sebelah bawah sebab nak buat ceiling height kan.
dah dia bawak balik yg normal pasang screw belah atas. i kept my mouth shut.
salah diri sendiri
dah la susah nak bawak tu rail yg panjang...sampai calar2 kereta sebab adik ipar kena pegang itu rail yg diletak luar kereta (tak muat)
nak pasang pulak ...fuhhh..sebab tinggi kan... berpeluh2 dua org itu.
so malas nak menambahkan kemarahan org kalau baru time tu nak cakap about the earlier suggestion.

jadiknya... ada laa gap lam 1 inch gitu. tak la betul2 ceiling height.
takpe.. i can leave with it. sian org tu terkial2 pasang rail tuh.

after siap pasang rail. i was asked to pasang langsir buruk. utk tutup la sliding door yg terlopong tuh.  dah la tak pasang tinted kan. ehem.. sapa la dulu yg sibuk2 nak pasang tinted satu rumah.....eheeeeeeeem. tak dok pon pasang.....eheeeeeeeeeeem. though i tak setuju sangat pasang tinted for safety reason. tau la lebih sejuk kan rumah.. but for safety cam tak sesuai.

mak oi.. gayat la nak pasang langsir. kita pon soh la incik suami pasangkan.
dah kena smash balik

'eh..sapa yg sibuk2 nak pasang langsir ceiling height tadi. org dah pasang rail. pegi pasang sendiri langsir awak tu'

it took me more than 1/2 hours to finish memasang langsir yg senteng itu

Wiring

Masih lam proses siapkan rumah.
Current status: Electrical wiring.
Kami dah set appointment ngan sorang contractor wiring hari Khamis lepas. tup2..bila call hari Khamis, dia kata tak available..dok tgh buat keja kat rumah lain.
OK. fine... cikabe set another appointment today.. kol 2pm
tgh hari tadi sbelom kluar call lagi utk doble confirm... tak angkat2 tepon.. bila dapat.. re-schedule lagi pkl 6pm.

for me

ni last lah. kalau cerle cerluk lagi. memang aku carik org lain der.
tak kira la co yo nun alip pom... aku hire gok.
org lain nak kata tak tolong melayu..lantak la. not that we did not try.
haaa.. tak committed langsung!

New project: Jigsaw puzzle by Klaus Strubel

since i have finished my big project last month, today i bought this puzzle as my next big project. small project in between when feeling bored is the small size cross stitch. so far got 2 small WIP xs and 1 big WIP of bead stitch (this one i'm not sure when it will be completed. no mood whatsoever to start it back)

ok... back to the puzzle

currently there are one 2000pcs puzzle hanging on our living room. its a cartoon puzzle. 

since we are planning to move around December 2010 i don't think the current puzzle is suitable to be placed at the new living room. spoil the concept la. so... we need to find a new puzzle which will be placed at family area and this new puzzle will be placed at new living room :)

see... i got around 18 month to finish up this new puzzle. hehe.. wish me luck that it will be completed on time!

Bought this new puzzle today at The Curve. the booth at IKANO offer much cheaper price but its not there anymore (the last time i check when window shoping).

its a 2000pcs puzzle, design by Klaus Strubel. a painting by him and converted into puzzle.

its cost me RM240 ...uhuk...uhuk.

the amoi even try to push me into buying their aluminium frame... cost another RM200+ ...another uhuk.

but i pass... as i explain to her ..i already have a roll up mat design to hold 2000pcs puzzle work in progress. he he... 

kejap lagi kena korek bilik stor utk mencari dimana ku campak itu roll mat.

Another incident happen in the shop. kakak being as tak reti dok diam as she always be. telah menjatuhkan satu 3D puzzle lilo n stich. aiyooooo...

itu casing sudah crack... and gone another RM60

Renovation for new house

I need to do some planning on renovation for our new house. though the house will be expected to be complete in December 2010 there are so many things to plan according to our past experienced in current apartment.
Dulu bolehlah nak buat last minute as kami memang tak de nak renovate gempak2. everything simple je. grille pon tahap paling murah yg kami ambik. sebab tak plan nak stay lama2 kat rumah ni. plan nak sewakan. cat pon tak. tu cik abang kata nak cat later on. tapi up till now...err... dah 3 years stay kat sini, hampeh.... takde penambahan apa pon.

OK. some plan for new house:

1) Lampu2 - kena kira n plan how many and what type of lampu nak pasang. nak beli sikit2 before dapat VP.

2) Kitchen cabinet - top will be concrete (upah different contractor for this). tiles nak beli sendiri. wall cabinet will be up to ceiling. maybe J shape. to measure roughly kat rumah contoh n design again using IKEA software.

3) Hob n oven -- DONE

4) sinki n water tap utk dapur - kena tengok showroom dulu. then bleh survey n beli.

5) Plaster ceiling n cornish - will only do corner cornish, border cornish, and cornish kat tempat lampu n kipas only. need to survey kat mana nak beli. This one will have to wait until dapat VP.

6) Kipas2 - kena kira how many and what type. pegi tengok showroom to decide.

7) Cat - different colour for every venue. dapur tak payah cat lah sebab cabinet nak pasang up to ceiling level. one side je lah kalo nak nampak colour pon. beside other venue dah different colour kan. automatically kitchen cam have its own colour. hehe

8) Grille - wrought iron for main and sliding door. simple horizontal grille for other places.

9) Katil for girls - hmmm...double or single? double kot since kakak penakut yg amat. katil single takleh support both girls together.

10) katil for other rooms - current beds yg dipakai will do. 3 katil alltogether for 3 different rooms. DONE

11) Sofa - living room kena beli baru. looking at the space available, prob. L shape je kot suitable. kecik spacenya. current sofa will be placed at family area on 2nd floor.

13) Meja makan - berdoa semoga meja yg kami berkenan kat Macy still available next yr.

14) wiring - to finalised how many additional point. kena ambik gambar banyak2 kat showroom for planning.

15) alarm system!

16) Rak kasut -  ada cabinet readily available kat luar main door ...but kena upah org utk buat rak2 nya.

17) washing machine - top loading lah. dulu nak front loading...mahel la pulak. top will do. cik abang will beli after rumah dah ready utk masuk.

18) Refrigerator - yg besar punya heh... after rumah ready.

20) Curtain rails and curtains - aiyooooooooo... dah habis idea. later...later...


Hmmm...tu je la kot. nanti tambah lagi.

Bang.. gilo banyak bajet diperlukan!

Hob and Oven

Went to HOMEDEC 2009 in KLCC on 30th April with the kids.

cik abang tak ikut.. rugi seh ...bank tak ikut.. tak bleh meroyan beli benda2 yg tetiba berkenan di hati.
before proceed. dah promised dia list of item i'm going to buy. only 2 la... hob n oven. NO hood. sebab kalo sebut nak beli hood...for sure dia tak approved. yg pasang kat rumah sekarang ..sbulan skali pon tak ON.

quite big la the exhibition... 6 halls alltogether!
i did not plan to visit all halls...just 2 halls...but somehow terlajak sampai 3rd hall. tu pun baru perasan when there is no kitchen thingy exhibit at that section. smua part bilik air.
balik2...menyesal tak pegi smua hall..apa salahnya jalan je...bleh dapat a lot of idea in renovating our next house.
tapi ...tak larat la. tambah2 dengan dragging both kids. kesian dia org.

ok.. memang dah set my mind to get best offer for Rinnai. since malas nor nak cari kedai distributor Rinnai.

i chose stainless steel sets instead of tempered glass. done some survey before and found out for tempered glass there is a possibility that it might crack. though it does not happen yet to my current tempered glass hob.

mahal la sikit berbanding dengan tempered glass..

its cost me RM3k++... 0% installment in 12 month. free delivery.

hah..hari ni nak kenal call kedai la...tanya bila nak deliver ini barang.
